Laura Geller Happy and Beautiful Collection

I’ve been wanting to try Laura Geller products for some time so I was excited when she had her summer sale last month!  I bought this collection for just $24.50 which is such a good deal!  You can find this set online on the Ulta and Laura Geller websites, where it costs $49.00.  The set includes a primer, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip gloss, and brush.

Spackle Treatment Hydrating Make-Up Primer

The primer comes in a squeeze tube and the product is easily dispensed.  The product looks and feels more like a moisturizer rather than primer.  The color of the primer is white but it becomes clear once blended onto your face.  It made my face look smooth and my foundation glided on easily.  It made my foundation last throughout the day.  I was a little scared to use this primer because it is hydrating and I have very oily skin.  My t-zone did become oily after 4 hours, but not anymore than usual.  Overall, I am pretty happy with this primer!

Baked Blush-N-Brighten

The baked blush came in the shade Tropic Hues, which is swirls of pink, coral, and bronze.  The shade applies as a really pretty coral pink and has a subtle shimmer.  The blush is nicely pigmented.  It looked lovely on my fair skin and provided a nice healthy glow.  The texture of the blush is a smooth powder that blends well.  The product is long-lasting and stayed on my cheeks all day.  I absolutely love this blush and it is now one of my favorites!

Baked Eyeshadow Duo

The eyeshadow duo came in the shade Honey Sable.  One side of the eyeshadow is a gold shade and the other half is a light brown.  Both the shades have a light pretty shimmer.  I was a little disappointed with the eyeshadow as it did not apply very pigmented. I had to apply several layers to get the shades to really show up.  The texture is a smooth powder and applies easily.  The product is long-lasting and does not budge when worn with primer.  Overall, I am not too impressed with this eyeshadow because of the pigmentation.

INKcredible Gel Eyeliner Pencil

The eyeliner came in the shade Brown Eyed Girl, which is a dark brown with silver shimmer.  It is a retractable eyeliner so it is self sharping.  The tip is precise and fine-point at first but that it dulls down once you use this eyeliner for multiple applications.  The shade applies smooth and doesn’t tug.  The eyeliner is pigmented and long-lasting.  The eyeliner is indeed waterproof as it claims!  You will need waterproof makeup remover or this stuff will not come off!  Overall, I liked this eyeliner but the shade wasn’t my favorite.  I would love to try different colors.

Color Luster Lip Gloss

The lipgloss came in the shade Strawberry Creme.  The shade looked like a pale pink on my natural lip color and applied quite sheer.  The finish was a good amount of shiny.  The texture of the lip gloss was very thick which made it hard to blend on the lips.  The product did feel comfortable on my lips despite the thickness.  The product lasted for several hours which was surprising considering lip glosses never last so long!  It will transfer with eating or drinking.  Overall, I am happy this product and its great for those days I feel like sporting a shiny lip!

Double-Ended Blush and Shadow Applicator

The eyeshadow side of this brush is a foam applicator.  It’s similar to the foam applicators you can find at any drugstores.  The blush side is a small slanted brush.  I prefer bigger brushes for blush so I would say its actually too small to use for a blush application.  Overall, I am not happy with this double-ended brush.

In the photo above, I am wearing all the products.  I did add in black liquid eyeliner from a different brand because I needed more definition.  This collection creates a very pretty, natural, and glowing look.  I am quite happy with the collection and I think it’s worth the $49.00 because its a steal considering how much the products cost individually.  Beauty kits are a great way to try out a brand that you haven’t before.  If you would rather purchase these individually, you can get the primer, blush, eyeliner, and lipgloss (but in different shades for the lipgloss).  I would really recommend the blush in shade Tropic Hues because its a great quality product! Okay thanks for reading my longest review ever lol!!!
