L’oreal came out with a few new products to add to their Voluminous collection, including a mascara and this liquid eyeliner. I’m always on the search for a drugstore liquid eyeliner because I have never found a low-end one that didn’t transfer. This liquid eyeliner comes in only one shade which is Black. I bought it from Walgreens for $9.99 which is a decent price considering how much high-end liquid eyeliners cost. You should be able to find this eyeliner at any drugstore.
The applicator is a felt tip tapered to a fine point. L’Oreal claims that the felt tip is flexible but that was not the case as I found the tip to be stiff. This applicator is little odd compared to other eyeliners as it tapers back into a little size right before it gets into the tube and this part is what actually allows the tip to move from side to side. I prefer more flexible tips with liquid eyeliners because they are easier to apply. The application with this eyeliner was quite difficult because of the tip and also because it does tug a little. A thin line can be created with the tip but I always had to end up creating thick lines because it was so hard to create even lines with this eyeliner.
The formula of this liquid eyeliner is an entirely different story! The shade Black is very pigmented and opaque. There is also a shiny finish added in. My main issue with liquid eyeliners is that they transfer from my lashline to the upper eyelid. This eyeliner did not transfer and lasted all day long. The product did not smudge, budge, or run. I will say that you have to wait a minute after applying in order for it to dry. I blinked as soon as I applied the product and it transferred; however, it did not do this when I let it dry.
Overall, would I recommend this product? Well that depends on whether you like felt tips instead of flexible brush tips. I hated the application of this eyeliner but absolutely loved the formula. I will continue to use the one that I bought but I can’t say I would purchase this eyeliner again. If you don’t want to spend more than $10 on a liquid eyeliner this product would be a good choice. Honestly, I would say this one has the best quality compared to the other low-end liquid eyeliners I have tried.
Thanks for reading! Leave me comments and questions!
I just picked up this eyeliner from Ulta. My favorite liquid liner so far has been the Lorac one because of the brush tip, but I am with you, they are so expensive! Hopefully it ends up working out for me.

Have you heard of the Stila liquid liner. I have many good things about it… How about the Maybelline Hypersharp liquid liners?

I have tried the Stila liquid liner and I loved everything about it except that it irritated my eyes 😦 . I have not tried the Maybelline Hypersharp liquid liner, would you recommend it?

I was hoping you’ve tried it before so that I can consider buying it! 😛 Hahaha! Anyways, some of friends swear by it but the few times I swatched in the drugstores here I was not convinced.
