Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Palette

CC7

I’ve wanted to buy this eyeshadow palette for the longest time!  I found an amazing deal on http://www.hsn.com and I just couldn’t pass it up.  HSN had a packaged deal of this this palette and a Too Faced eyeliner for $49.00 total and on top of that I had a 15% off coupon for signing up to receive emails.  This palette can also be found at Sephora and Ulta for $49.00.

I am a huge chocoholic so of course the whole chocolate theme was perfect!  This palette has the cutest packaging I have seen.  It comes in a metal tin container that is shaped into a actual chocolate bar.  Everytime you open the palette you immediately notice a chocolate aroma because the eyeshadows are  formulated with real cocoa powder.

There are 16 shades to choose from including browns and some pops of color.  The finishes of these shades include matte, shimmery, metallic, and glittery.

Gilded Ganache- Shimmery olive green

White Chocolate- Matte cream color

Milk chocolate- Matte warm light brown

Black Forest Truffle- Deep brown with gold glitter

Triple Fudge- Matte dark olive green

Salted Caramel- Matte warm orangey brown

Marzipan- Shimmery golden rose

Semi-Sweet- Matte warm mid-tone brown

Strawberry Bon Bon- Matte milky light pink

Candied Violet- Cool purple with pink glitter

Amaretto-  Metallic browned bronze

Hazelnut- Metallic mid-tone brown

Creme Brulee- Metallic gold

Haute Chocolate- Metallic cool light brown

Cherry Cordial- Burgundy with silver and pink shimmer

Champagne Truffle- Shimmery light pink

All the shades are very gorgeous and look beautiful.  There is a good mix of colors in this palette as you have highlighting, transitioning, crease, and lid colors that blend well together.  There is also pops of color as well with the green and purple shades.  You can either create more pretty daytime looks or dramatic nighttime looks.  All of the shades in this palette are pigmented and apply opaque.  The texture is velvety smooth and applies so easily.  There is no fall-out except with the glittery shades Black Forest Truffle and Candied Violet.  The product lasts all day and does not crease when worn over primer.

In the first photo I am wearing Gilded Ganache on the lid and lower lash line, Triple Fudge on the crease, and Champagne Truffle on the inner corners.  This is my favorite look as it is smokey and dramatic.  For the second look I was just playing around and wanted to give a glittery shade a try.  I actually applied Champagne Truffle on the lid and lower lash line first and then applied Candied Violet over these same areas.  It seemed like Candied Violet would be too dark to wear alone and that’s why I mixed the two shades.

Would I recommend this palette?  Yes, I would say this palette is worth the price because it has amazing quality.  The shades are gorgeous and can be worn everyday so it will be put to good use.  The only shades I did not like from the palette are the glitter shades because well I never like glitter shades.  They ALWAYS create fall-out whether they are high-end or low-end!  Overall, I am happy with this palette!
